LA CATALAN OIL MILL

The La Catalane olive oil mill collects olives from all over the department, as provided for in its cooperative status since 1943. It perpetuates an artisanal tradition of harvesting and manufacturing Mediterranean olive oil.
This cooperative produces an extra virgin olive oil of very aromatic quality in first cold pressing.
The tour includes an exhibition of old equipment retracing the history of olive growing as well as that of the olive tree since antiquity.
Our oil production is mainly oriented towards the endemic varieties of our department: the Olivier, the Verdale, the Glory, the Courbeil, the Argoudeil, the Redouneil, the Berdaneil, and the Poumal, as well as the old varieties of garrigue .
The visit ends with a free tasting of our productions.
