The history of Les Toiles du Soleil dates back to 1897 when a factory was born which wove fabrics from which espadrilles are made. This Catalan weave quickly gained a great reputation and this success was such that St Laurent de Cerdans was then named the capital of the espadrille. Subsequently, deckchair canvases appeared as well as table linen. By saving this last textile factory in 1994, the Quinta family revived the great tradition of Catalan weaving. These same old looms produce our cotton fabrics whose typical patterns and colors are inspired by the archives and reworked to better adapt to current trends. From dinner services to curtains, our products are authentic because they are produced using a traditional weaving method.
