The refuge experience

The refuge experience is the practice of hiking supported by the warm welcome of the refuge wardens, but also the meeting and sharing of emotions with other hikers, the surpassing of oneself and the beauty of the landscapes which is the guarantee of a great site of France.

Staffed mountain huts are high-altitude accommodations. They allow for multi-day hikes (from one hut to another) or circular day hikes (with loop trails ). The huts also offer on-site dining, takeaway meals, and drinks.

The highlight of this experience is undoubtedly the Tour du Canigó . This is a multi-day hike that allows you to circumnavigate the Canigó Massif in 6 days and 5 stages, using the 5 mountain huts as accommodations. These huts provide meals, overnight stays, and packed lunches. You can complete the hike independently, with a guide, or with luggage transport from hut to hut.
