The association for the preservation and enhancement of Prats de Molló, "Velles Pedres i Arrels" (Old Stones and Roots) was created in 1990 by a group of heritage enthusiasts, led by its founder Roger Coromines, who was succeeded in 2004 , Georges Bantoure and, in 2010, Christian Roque
The association originally had as a priority objective to support and accompany the heritage operations conducted by the Municipality with regard to the old and emblematic buildings of the city and its close surroundings.
