From Perpignan follow the N116 to Olette then the D57 to Nyer.

This route is the least traveled among the GR® and GR®P of the Pyrénées-Orientales. And yet, it is worth the detour! In five beautiful days, in the heart of the Conflent mountain, you will walk to meet the landscape, flora and fauna diversity of the four nature reserves of Nyer, Mantet, Prats-de-Mollo-la-Preste and Py, and the Parc regional nature of the Catalan Pyrenees. From small villages to mountain refuges, from deep fir forests to vast barren high plateaus, in search of the abandoned mining economy or agro-pastoralism, nothing will leave you indifferent, and especially not the Canigó, always present !
