From Perpignan, follow the direction of Andorra. Go to Prades, Mont-Louis and join Bourg-Madame.

To those who discover this territory for the first time, arriving from Enveitg or the Col de la Perche, Cerdanya appears as a very wide high-altitude valley surrounded by high mountains with gentle, sun-drenched sides. She is both French and Spanish: therefore Catalan! Traveling through Cerdanya, at the end of spring or in autumn, means, for three days, exploring a rural mid-mountain territory with a rich past and present. Hamlets and villages, churches and chapels, Roman baths and old farmhouses, avenues of bicentennial poplars and ancient cultivation terraces, chaos of granite balls and glacial remains, dolmens and ancient roads, rub shoulders pell-mell with fields and meadows, vast forests and moors pelées, ski resort and climatic high school, solar power plant and museum without walls, Yellow train and… multiple inns with traditional Catalan and Cerdana cuisine. Quite a delightful program!
