Dedicated to St Marcel, it has a rectangular vaulted apse. Lombard bands decorate the exterior. The nave is unique, initially vaulted. Its vault was replaced by a wooden frame in more recent times. Externally it has a bell tower with two cells located between the apse and the nave. Inside the church has a rustic baptismal font and a XNUMXth century altarpiece containing the statues of St Marcel of course, but also St Sébastien and St Gaudérique.
The church of St Marcel de Flassa is now permanently restored, thanks in part to the association for the preservation of the heritage of Serdinya-Joncet. The vault of the choir is painted, half of its paintings are still visible. In particular, snail shells and fish scales, as well as part of an older decor. In fact, there are 3 overlapping decorations, the second being made of yellow swirls surrounded by gray.
