CHAMBER OF CERTAINTIES

The Chamber of Certainties, created in 2000, is a small space that Wolfgang Laib had dug out of a rock in the Roc del Maure. Entirely coated in beeswax, this room whose appearance and scent invite you to an inner journey, is a place of meditation and contemplation. 

Born in 1950, the artist decided, after studying medicine, to dedicate himself to artistic creation. Inspired by the spiritualities of the East and Far East, his work highlights the profound union between man and the universe that surrounds him.

Access: 30 to 45 minute walk from the Priory of Marcevol. From the Priory, follow the GR®36 (white and red markings) north for 1,5 km. Follow the M-shaped signs, then leave the GR® to the right and climb for 400 m to the site.

Key to be collected at Arboussols Town Hall (Monday to Friday, except Wednesday: 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.) or at the Priory of Marcevol (open from April to October).
