The first mention dates from 1820. The current church, classified as a historic monument, succeeded the primitive cell of Saint Pierre, founded around 800 by the first Abbot of Sainte Marie d'Arles, Castellanus 1st. This church, private property, was consecrated a second time in 1159. Nothing remains of the church built by Abbot Castellan. No possibility of visiting.
