Overlooking the fortified town of Villefranche de Conflent, Fort Liberia is a stronghold built by Vauban forming a truly impassable barrier in the Têt valley.

The ramparts of Villefranche-de-Conflent are unique in that they have two levels of covered walkways, one above the other. Open from February to December, opening hours vary depending on the season.
In summer, you can discover the ramparts in a warm atmosphere during the torchlight tours which take place on Monday and Tuesday evenings.

Fort Lagarde
Facing the border, Fort Lagarde overlooks the fortified town of Prats-de-Mollo-La-Preste . It is connected to the fortified town by an underground passage.
Show visit: from mid-July to August every afternoon except Saturday.
Night tours, storytelling tours, guided tours.
Exhibition : enigmatic place hosting temporary exhibitions.
Access on foot via the underground or by shuttle (information at the tourist information office).

The fortified town of Prats-de-Mollo-La-Preste
The town of Prats-de-Mollo-La-Preste was fortified by Vauban. It is surrounded by a rampart and built around the church of Stes Juste et Ruffine. Overlooking the city, Fort Lagarde is attached to it by underground galleries.
