PY NATURE RESERVE

3930 hectares :

The territory of the Py Nature Reserve of 3930 ha belongs to the axial Pyrenean chain between the Canigou massif and the Costabona massif.
In geology, two particularities should be noted:
- the carbonate and basic rocks of the lower zone as well as the marbles and limestones.
- three substantially parallel bands of mass quartz.
The large fauna is represented the izard, the wild boar, the genet, the golden eagle, the capercaillie, the ptarmigan, the goshawk, etc...
Equipment, facilities for the public: marked trails with interpretation booklet,
“man and the forest” interpretive trails.
