From Arles-sur-Tech, follow the direction of Prats-de-Mollo-la-Preste (D115). Go through the village of Prats-de-Mollo-la-Preste and take the direction of La Preste (D115a). At a place called Sant Salvador (Saint Sauveur), turn right towards Saint Sauveur-Parcigoule (C4). Continue to the entrance to the national forest.

Loop hike in the undergrowth. On the climb, you will overlook the Parcigola valley to reach its summit viewpoint (orientation table) at Coll de les Basses. You will then enter the Prats-de-Mollo-la-Preste Nature Reserve. By carefully observing the remains of the farmhouses in the Parcigola valley on the descent, you will be able to imagine the human activity that was very present until the middle of the XNUMXth century.
